This role will participate in the full product development lifecycle, from specification definition, circuit design, PCB development, and system validation to mass production.\nThe engineer will work closely with the firmware team, as well as with external partners including PCB layout vendors, manufacturers, EMS providers, and testing laboratories. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on product development, in-depth problem-solving, and taking ownership of products from concept through customer deployment.\nWhat You'll Do:\n1. AI Accelerator System Product Development\nDevelop hardware products based on AI accelerators, primarily PCIe add-in cards and M.2 modules.\nParticipate in product specification definition, system architecture planning, component selection, and design feasibility evaluation.\nPerform schematic design, design reviews, and coordinate with PCB layout engineers.\nDesign and validate high-speed interfaces, power circuits, clocks, reset circuits, boot-related circuits, management interfaces, and peripheral circuitry.\n2. Hardware Bring-Up and System Validation\nPerform new board bring-up, functional verification, and system integration testing.\nDevelop hardware validation plans, test procedures, and validation reports.\nConduct power, signal integrity, stability, performance, thermal, and long-duration reliability testing.\nAnalyze and resolve issues involving hardware, firmware, drivers, and overall system integration.\n3. Firmware Development Debug Support\nProvide hardware platforms, test environments, tools, and debugging support for the firmware development team.\nAssist with debugging issues related to boot flow, PCIe enumeration, I2C/SMBus, SPI, UART, GPIO, reset, and power sequencing.\nUse oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other tools to identify and isolate system-level issues.\nWork with firmware and IC design teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\n4. Product Validation and Mass Production Support\nSupport product validation and issue resolution throughout EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.\nAssist in developing test fixtures, production test procedures, and hardware diagnostic tools.\nWork with PCB vendors, EMS/ODM partners, component suppliers, and manufacturing teams to resolve prototype and production issues.\nSupport BOM management, alternative component qualification, ECO/ECN implementation, and product revision control.\n5. Customer Technical Support\nSupport customers during product evaluation, system integration, and deployment.\nAnalyze customer issues related to PCIe compatibility, system stability, performance, power, and thermal behavior.\nReproduce customer-reported issues, collect and analyze debug logs, and work with internal engineering teams to provide solutions.\n6. Technical Documentation\nWrite hardware specifications, validation reports, and customer-facing collateral (e.g., Hardware Design Guides, Application Notes).\nWhat We Expect to See:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in hardware system, motherboard, add-in card, or module design.\nSolid knowledge of PCIe and M.2 interface standards and design guidelines.\nFamiliarity with SPI, I2C, SMBus, and UART interfaces.\nProficiency with EDA schematics and design tools (OrCAD, Allegro).\nHands-on expertise with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers) for signal integrity validation and debugging.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, paired with excellent cross-functional communication abilities.\nWhat We Would Be Happy to See:\nExperience developing AI accelerator, GPU, NPU, FPGA, PCIe add-in card, or M.2 module products.\nFamiliarity with PCIe Gen3, Gen4, or Gen5, including link training, LTSSM, enumeration, and compatibility debugging.\nExperience with signal integrity or power integrity analysis.\nExperience in thermal design, power consumption analysis, or thermal validation.\nFamiliarity with Linux environments and common debugging tools or commands,\nExperience with server platforms, embedded systems, edge AI devices, or data center hardware.\nKnowledge of product safety, EMI/EMC, reliability, or compliance testing.\nExperience in customer technical support, FAE responsibilities, or on-site issue resolution.\nAbility to
