Document Controller – Major Industrial Projects

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Years of Experience: 3-7 years of relevant experience.

Working Arrangement:  on-site.

Language Requirements:  Fluency in English (written and spoken).

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller - Major Industrial Projects to support project documentation and document control activities in Abu Dhabi. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate project records, controlling technical documentation, managing submissions and revisions, and supporting documentation requirements across major oil & gas, EPC, industrial, or electrical projects.

Key Requirements

• 3-7 years of document control experience in the UAE.
• Experience supporting oil & gas, EPC, industrial, or electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Document registers
  • Transmittals
  • Drawings
  • Technical submittals
  • Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Project correspondence
• Good understanding of document numbering, revision control, and submission/approval processes.
• Experience maintaining comprehensive project records.
• Experience compiling final project documentation and dossiers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Other Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or other relevant qualification.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate document registers, transmittals, drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, and project correspondence.
• Control document numbering, revisions, distribution, submission, and approval processes.
• Ensure project documents are accurately recorded, organized, updated, and readily retrievable.
• Track document submissions, approvals, revisions, and outstanding documentation.
• Coordinate project documentation with end clients, EPC contractors, international principals, and other relevant project stakeholders.
• Maintain complete and accurate project records in applicable document management systems.
• Support the compilation and organization of final project documentation and dossiers.
• Ensure document control activities are carried out consistently throughout the project.
