This includes achieving efficient production levels, maintaining a high level of quality, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe way. Line Lead Operators are responsible for the efficient operation of high-speed automated packaging equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure that all equipment is used and maintained in a safe manner and set-up projects/jobs in accordance with customer requirements, and to continuously monitor the quality of the product.\nTo do this, the Line Lead Operator will ensure open lines of communication, managing line workers efficiently, ensuring all materials to complete a job are available, and to operate/maintain equipment regularly. All required documentation will be completed with attention to detail while ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is maintained on each production run.\nEssential Job Functions\nThe following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupervise and train all general labour personnel in the assembly of displays and other packaging.\nMaintain and follow GMP guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment\nContinually observe and improve production efficiency\nReconciliation of feeder stock and components at the end of each shift. Discrepancies to be reported to the Production Supervisor\nFoster and maintain open lines of communication\nCommunicate any quality issues with the quality inspectors.\nAttention to detail is essential to ensure high quality products are delivered to the customer\nCapable to perform in a fast-paced environment \nWorking regularly with computer software such as Microsoft Office/Windows\nEnsures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed\nSetup and general housekeeping of automated filling equipment \nSetup and change product materials in accordance with the production plan \nContinuously maintain or exceed production efficiency goals \nPreparing and palletizing skids of finished product \nPerform basic setup and troubleshooting on all equipment (training will be provided)\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School or equivalent \nPrevious experience on packaging equipment is considered an asset\nOne (1) to two (2) years of pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic packaging and machine operating experience are considered an asset but is not required\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nBasic understanding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nEffectively build strong teams \nMust be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision\nMaintain a high level of trust and integrity\nWMS software, Microsoft Office, SAP are all considered an asset\nProficient use of the English language (Reading, Writing, Speaking)\nMust have strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills \nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills \nMust be able to work with a team of people across different functional areas as well as an individual \nAbility to read production plans (dockets or spec packs) to ensure each production run is being completed as required \nPhysical Requirements:\nPrimarily works in a factory and/or warehouse setting\nPosition may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location\nLifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis\nStanding for long periods of time\nStooping, walking, and lifting on a regular basis\nAll Menasha Packaging employees must conduct their work in a manner that complies with all legal standards and meets customer expectations.
