If you like to make things happen and are passionate about what you do, you’re going to want to be here.\nJoin us and become part of the power behind possible.\nAbout The Opportunity\nThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for effectively and efficiently maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance following corporate standards for quality and safety.Position Summary:\nDemonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures\nDemonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines\nTrain other employees (as directed or needed)\nCommunicate effectively with associated personnel (both verbally and in writing, speaking clearly in English and/or Spanish) in all phases of the operation and processes\nOperate cranes, truck or motor vehicles\nOperate forklifts and/or powered industrial equipment\nPerform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment\nProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service\nPerform simple machinist duties and responsibilities\nPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines\nRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service\nDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities\nUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties\nDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision\nPlay an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of work area\nUnderstand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements\nPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors\nPerformance Measures and Outcomes\nAdherence to safety policies and procedures\nQuality of work\nProduction goals\nEducation/Certification\nLevel Desired\nDescription\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nAA Degree\nMechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance\nWork Experience\nDesired\nCompletion of a craft apprenticeship\nProduction maintenance experience\n4+ years of manufacturing experience\nMechanical & electrical and industrial skills\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nSafety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner\nAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business\nAbility to work on a rotating shift as needed\nAbility to effectively work in teams\nAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles\nAble to read, write and understand English\nMust be highly motivated and able to work independently\nAbility to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete: blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, repair parts requests\nAbility to operate and understand measuring equipment such as: standard or metric tape measure, micrometer, caliper, scale, VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter)\nAdvanced knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions\nAbility to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machines\nAbility to overhaul, rebuild and troubleshoot plant machines\nEssentials to the Position:\nJoin our team and be part of a company that started in 1849!\nThis is a mid-shift position - Core Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 5 days/week Monday through Friday.\nThis position may be required to work overtime.\nThe wage range for this position is $33.00-$40.00 per hour.
