The person in this position is responsible for overseeing of the production line leaders and that the floor operates in a productive manner. The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).Essential Functions:\nDemonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures \nDemonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines \nSupervise and train all Line Leads in the production process \nServe as a backup to the Production Supervisor \nWork in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results \nConduct inspection of the product every hour or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use \nKeep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line \nResponsible for work packets being filled out correctly, accurately, and on time \nMaintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff \nCommunicate with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met \nPerform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS) to include: delete and complete orders, adjust LPN’s, verify quantities produced, print and adjust PTS reports, and verify quantities produced \nProcess information and merchandise through computer system \nUnderstand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements \nAssist the Line Leads with Item completion, ordering to the line, opening the shift, closing the shift, and reclaim \nInitiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals \nAssist in balancing Line Lead production hours, as well as verification of all analytical data at end of shift \nIdentifies equipment needs and set up lines accordingly \nRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product \nCoordinate manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions \nAnalyze and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems \nPerform hourly checks during shift to maintain efficiencies \nMentor and develop line leads, and share expertise with others \nResponsible for enforcing and obtaining all aspects of the line lead function \nAssist the Line Leads in training Line Workers \nPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors \nPerformance Measures & Outcomes:\nAdherence to safety policies and procedures \nQuality of work \nProduction goals \n Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nSafety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner \nAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business\nAbility to work on a rotating shift as needed\nAbility to effectively work in teams\nAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles\nAbility to lead/supervise large groups of associates\nUnderstanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required\nDemonstrate a “team player” demeanor \nStrong organizational and multi-tasking skills \nAbility to plan in advance for production in assigned areas\nAbility to interpret instructions (both verbal and written) \nAbility to produce at a high level through assigned staff \nAbility to work with plant management for required results \nAbility to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job\nKnowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System) and ability to operate WMS handhelds\nMust possess good interpersonal skills\nMust be familiar with production line set up and efficiencies\nWork Experience:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required\nMinimum 1 year of related experience or training in warehouse production\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:\nTime spent in a production and/or warehouse setting\nOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs\nFrequent walking/standing required\nAll Menasha Packaging employees must conduct their work in a manner that complies with all legal standards and meets customer expectations.
