This person provides direction on the day-to-day activities of the department in order produce in the most efficient and effective manner.Shift:\n2nd Shift - Flexible Start Time Available\nEssential Functions:\nDemonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.\n Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely.\n Provide daily coaching and feedback to all department employees.\n Increase overall productivity to meet customer requirements. \nWork with other leaders in regards to manufacturing and quality decisions.\n Assign work and monitor production orders as they arrive in department.\n Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins, etc.\nAuthor quality response forms.\nCoordinate overtime postings/schedules.\nServe as communication liaison with 2nd shift Area Manager and 3rd Shift Supervisor.\n Coordinate quality concerns with quality personnel or Customer Service.\n Provide answers and make decisions related to production and quality.\n Schedule production and monitor orders to increase overall productivity and quality while simultaneously meeting efficiency goals and customer commitments.\nParticipate in daily scheduling meetings with other lead people to discuss priorities, rush, etc. \nIdentify and implement process improvements and increased productivity opportunities.\nEnhance internal and external department communication toward creating a cohesive work environment.\nParticipate in monthly department meetings and other meetings as needed to communicate policy, revisions, general updates, etc.\nProvide backup ECATS responsibilities and resolve issues with Payroll when necessary.\nAssist the Department Area Manager on the following areas: weekly/daily manning requirements, overtime requirements, quality complaints.\n Provide input into employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner and in line with employee handbook.\n Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.\n Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.\n Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors.\nEducation:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred.\nAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nSafety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.\nAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business.\n Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed.\nAbility to effectively work in teams.\nAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people.\nAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.\nMust have computer skills in Microsoft Office and understanding of an ERP system.\nShift:\n2nd Shift - Flexible Start Time\nTwo companies, one vision.\nMenasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
