In this role, you'll design and execute test strategies and build and maintain automated test suites, partnering closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ship stable, secure, and reliable releases. You'll also use AI-assisted testing tools to speed up test case generation, defect triage, and log analysis, freeing up more time to focus on the highest-risk areas of the product. This is a chance to shape quality practices for products that protect major global businesses from cyberattacks.\nOutcomes & KPIs\nKey Outcome(s) Owned:\nReleases meet Menlo's quality, security, and reliability bar before reaching customers.\n\nAutomated test coverage scales with the engineering team's release velocity.\n\nSuccess Metrics / KPIs:\nDefect escape rate to production, trending down quarter over quarter.\n\nAutomated test coverage across critical-path and regression suites.\n\nAverage time from defect identification to verified resolution.\n\nPercentage of releases passing the quality gate on first pass.\n\nTest cycle turnaround time relative to release cadence.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and technical specifications.\n\nPerform manual and automated testing for web applications, APIs, and backend services.\n\nBuild and maintain automated test suites for regression, smoke, and critical-path coverage.\n\nValidate functional, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional requirements.\n\nUse AI-assisted tools to help generate and maintain test cases and to triage flaky tests and analyze failure logs, speeding up root-cause identification.\n\nIdentify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.\n\nCollaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes quickly.\n\nParticipate in requirement and design reviews to catch quality risks early, and drive continuous improvements in QA processes and tooling.\n\nFunctional Competencies\nRequired:\n3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.\n\nStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC.\n\nHands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.\n\nExperience with test automation frameworks and scripting.\n\nFamiliarity with bug tracking and test management tools.\n\nUnderstanding of CI/CD workflows and version control systems.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nComfort incorporating AI-assisted tools (e.g., for test case generation, log analysis, or defect triage) into day-to-day QA workflows.\n\nPreferred / Nice to Have:\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.\n\nExperience testing cloud-native or microservices-based applications.\n\nExperience with performance or security testing tools and practices.\n\nKnowledge of containerized environments and orchestration platforms.\n\nExposure to message queues, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.\n\nExperience working in Agile or Scrum teams.\n\nMSGL-I4\nFollow us on LinkedIn!\nWhy Menlo?\nAt Menlo, we don't settle for the status quo - in our technology or our culture.
