With offices in Caguas, Boston, and San Francisco, MTG serves life sciences clients across six global markets: United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and South America.\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety compliance initiatives for our clients in Puerto Rico.This role requires regular visits to multiple client sites across Puerto Rico.\nEssential Functions\nContribute to a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.\nMonitor applicable regulations and industry best practices, recommending programs, systems, and corrective actions for assigned sites and enterprise-wide consideration.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure accountability, transparency, cross-functional collaboration, and effective communication within the EHS function.\nInvestigate incidents and prepare required reports, including injury reports, insurance claims, investigation reports, and performance metrics.\nSupport a safe working environment for all employees.\nParticipate in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage events.\nEnsure follow-up actions are completed and documentation is maintained properly.\nConduct, coordinate, and track EHS-related training programs.\nPerform routine safety observations and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.\nMaintain internal and regulatory reporting, including environmental data collection and reporting.\nServe as a primary point of contact during regulatory inspections, permitting, and compliance reporting.\nMaintain compliance with permits, environmental regulations, and industry standards.\nStay current with changes in environmental and safety regulations affecting client operations.\nParticipate in manufacturing and operational meetings to address safety and compliance matters.\nPromote strong client relationships through professional conduct, open communication, and trust.\nSupport workers’ compensation administration.\nAssist with waste management programs, manifests, regulatory reports, inspections, and corrective action follow-up.\nParticipate in ergonomic assessments, inspections, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nQualifications\nAssociate Degree in Engineering or Science required.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.\n8 - 10 years of experience. \nAdditional Requirements\nAbility to travel regularly and visit multiple client sites throughout Puerto Rico.\nStrong communication, organization, and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle equipment or tools, and communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may lift 25-35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
