With offices in Caguas, PR, Boston, MA & San Francisco, CA and we serve life sciences clients in six global markets: United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and South America.\nResponsibilities:\nUnder general direction, plans and organizes facility maintenance repairs and physical operation and performs related duties as required.\nThrough subordinate supervisors, plans, organizes, and schedules the work of various craft workers, such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) repair workers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and painters.\nDirects facility repairs, installations, small construction remodeling, grounds improvement, and maintenance projects; coordinates with other departments to complete remodeling projects; reviews remodeling plans for energy efficiency and proper construction methods; maintains records of materials used; orders and purchases new materials.\nEnsures that facilities comply with state, federal and local laws, ordinances, regulations, and codes pertaining to the building industry.\nSupervises emergency repair jobs; inspects field work performed; plans and estimates maintenance and repair work; maintains records of work order requests and completion.\nMay administer contracts; reviews work of contractors to ensure that work is completed in accordance with the timeliness and standards of quality set forth in the contract.\nAnalyzes and investigates maintenance and personnel problems or issues and prepares and compiles written reports to the Facilities Manager with solutions and/or recommendations.\nPrepares worker accident reports; identifies and resolves safety hazards for staff; arranges for employee safety training; maintains safety records.\nMonitor and maintain facilities operational condition within established regulatory, and customer requirements.\nExhibit a customer-oriented behavior, by clearly understanding customers’ needs and expectations, and anticipating possible barriers or obstacles that may impact the project(s) adversely, and communicating these on a timely manner.\n All documentation must be free of errors, controlled and well-organized.\nManage technical issues/problems appropriately and efficiently.\nGuarantee top quality of services provided to client by reviewing work performed, documentation submitted, get hold of client feedback and monitoring project status vs. client requirements.\nCreate/develop customer relations and new business opportunities.\nPromote excellent relationship with MENTOR clients, encouraging an open dialog and trustful communication between both parties demonstrating a professional conduct at all times and proudly represent MENTOR at all levels and places.\nAlerts management when problems are identified and make recommendations for improvements.\nMust be a team player committed to developing and working in a quality environment.\nComplies with MENTOR administrative requirements timely and consistently in areas such as: weekly reports, updating of CV’s, yearly updates of medical/training records, attendance to work, etc.\nPreserve MENTOR as the preferred provider for engineering, utilities outsourcing, validation, and regulatory compliance services.\nModels company values and ethical behavior in all relationships with internal and external customers.\nStrictly follow company’s Safety, cGMP’s, Policies and Procedures.\nOther duties as assigned by manager, upper management or by the client to support normal operations.\nQualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.\nMBA, MS or ME preferred.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipments, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nHe / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells.
