This hybrid position supports both the Gift Shop and Exhibition Front-of-House teams - greeting guests, processing sales, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping ensure safety and fun throughout the space. You’ll handle a variety of responsibilities including ticket and retail transactions, guest assistance, exhibit monitoring, and maintaining clean, organized areas.\nJob Responsibilities\nGreet and assist visitors with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism.\nSell admission tickets and retail merchandise using point-of-sale (POS) systems.\nHandle card transactions accurately.\nShare information about Meow Wolf’s exhibits, events, and policies.\nMonitor crowds and exhibits to ensure guest and facility safety; report issues as needed.\nRestock merchandise, conduct inventory counts, and maintain product knowledge.\nSupport special events or 21+ functions as needed, following proper safety and access protocols.\nEssential Skills and Abilities:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMinimum 1-3 years of customer service or retail experience\n18 years of age or older\nFlexible schedule with ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nComfortable learning and using POS systems and basic computer software\nAbility to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or challenging situations\nDesired Characteristics and Qualities for all Team Members:\nExperience with Vend POS or Google Drive\nBilingual or multilingual\nPrior experience in retail, hospitality, museum, or entertainment environments\nWork Environment: This job operates in an office environment as well as a museum/ art exhibit. This role routinely uses cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, and other cleaning tools. Employees may be required to lift up to 60lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nPhysical Demands: The employee is constantly exposed to chemicals and fumes. The position requires repetitive movement, and the ability to kneel, crouch, reach, and grasp. The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.
