This role will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, applications, and digital solutions to support business operations, project development, and future plant operations in Oman.\nThe IT Manager will act as the primary IT lead for the Oman business, working closely with corporate teams, external service providers, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions are in place to support the company's growth.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIT Strategy & Governance\nDevelop and implement the IT roadmap and technology strategy aligned with business objectives.\nEstablish IT policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and manage the annual IT budget and expenditure plans.\nIT Infrastructure & Operations\nEstablish and maintain all IT infrastructure for the Oman office and future operational sites.\nManage corporate networks, internet connectivity, servers, cloud services, storage, and communication systems.\nEnsure system availability, reliability, and business continuity.\nOversee IT asset management, software licensing, and hardware lifecycle management.\nCybersecurity & Risk Management\nDevelop and implement cybersecurity controls and best practices.\nMonitor and manage cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and incident response activities.\nEnsure appropriate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place.\nLead cybersecurity awareness initiatives across the organization.\nBusiness Systems & Applications\nManage business applications and digital platforms used across the organization.\nSupport implementation and administration of ERP, HR, Finance, Procurement, Document Management, and collaboration systems.\nWork closely with functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and digitalization.\nEnsure system integrations and data integrity across business applications.\nProject & Operational Support\nSupport project teams with technology requirements during project development and execution phases.\nParticipate in the planning and implementation of IT systems required for future plant operations.\nCoordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and corporate teams to deliver technology solutions supporting business growth.\nVendor & Contract Management\nManage relationships with IT vendors, consultants, service providers, and telecommunications companies.\nLead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management activities.\nEnsure service providers meet agreed service levels and business requirements.\nUser Support & Service Delivery\nEstablish and oversee IT support services for all employees and contractors.\nEnsure timely resolution of IT issues and delivery of high-quality user support.\nDevelop IT service management processes and performance metrics.\nBudget Planning & Cost Management\nDevelop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.\nPrepare short-term and long-term forecasts for IT-related expenditures, including hardware, software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, licenses, and external service providers.\nWork closely with Finance to ensure timely budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation.\nEvaluate and recommend cost-effective technology solutions while maintaining operational efficiency and security.\nMonitor IT spending and ensure all expenditures are managed within approved budgets.\nTeam Leadership\nBuild and develop the IT function in Oman as the organization grows.\nRecruit, mentor, and manage IT personnel and external support resources.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-focused service delivery.\nCorporate & Regional Collaboration\nAct as the primary IT representative for MGSO and coordinate closely with corporate teams and external stakeholders.\nSupport group-wide IT initiatives, digital transformation projects, and technology standardization efforts.\nProvide regular reports and recommendations to management regarding IT performance, risks, and future requirements.\nSupport the CEO in all relevant tasks where requested.\nRequirements/ Skills/ Experience:\nExperience establishing and managing IT functions within industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, or large-scale project environments.\nStrong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and network administration.\nExperience managing IT vendors, budgets, contracts, and technology projects.\nKnowledge of ERP systems and enterprise business applications is preferred.\nExperience working in multinational organizations and start-up or greenfield project environments is highly desirable.\nRequired Education/ Qualification/ Training:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership
