We believe in Agile principles and actively support our self-organising teams.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join us. This is a role for someone who understands how software really works, inside and out. You are just as comfortable talking to a client as you are reviewing code or solving a production problem.\nYou work directly with our clients and their development teams. You take technical ownership from the start and make sure the right things get built in the right way. This role is ideal for someone with the mindset of an architect, the focus of a product owner, and the drive to grow into a senior technical leadership role.\nAs a Forward Deployed Engineer, you\nWork with clients to understand what they need and turn that into clear technical plans\nDesign the technical structure of software solutions\nReview code and guide developers to make good decisions\nBuild proof of concepts to test ideas before committing to them\nDebug problems in production and help the team fix them\nSet up and improve delivery pipelines together with the team\nPair up with developers when they need support or guidance\nKeep all stakeholders well informed and manage expectations throughout the project\nTake responsibility for the technical direction and make sure the team stays on track\nYou have\nAt least 3 years of experience in a software design or development role\nA solid understanding of how software systems are built, connected and maintained\nExperience working with clients or in a consulting environment\nThe ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical people\nA hands-on mentality: you do not just advise, you build and test\nAn interest in new technologies, including AI tools and how they can make a team faster\nGood communication skills in English ánd Dutch\nWhat makes you stand out\nYou think like an architect but stay close to the code.
