This is a hands-on role with strong ownership, close collaboration with product engineering teams, and direct impact on how we scale our platform.\nYour Responsibilities on this role\nDesign, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK.\nImprove GitLab CI/CD pipelines across services and environments.\nSupport serverless and cloud-native workloads, including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and EventBridge.\nImprove monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing with CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry.\nStrengthen infrastructure security, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and production access.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and developer experience.\nParticipate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.\nRole requirements\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.\nStrong hands-on AWS experience in production environments.\nSolid experience with Terraform, GitLab CI, and infrastructure-as-code practices.\nGood scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.\nExperience operating production systems and troubleshooting complex issues.\nSecurity-minded approach to cloud infrastructure and access management.\nStrong communication skills in a remote-first, async environment.\nProactive use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity, automation, documentation, troubleshooting, and decision-making.\nExperience working in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments is a plus, especially with GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or STACKIT.\nWhy to join us here at Mercanis?\nSalary range: €60,000 -
