Interns will support families in achieving stability by connecting them to resources, assisting with administrative tasks, and participating in collaborative care with local partners. This role is ideal for students passionate about social services, community development, or nonprofit leadership. Interns will gain valuable skills in client support, team collaboration, and service coordination, helping build brighter futures for families in Macon-Bibb.\nDescription of Responsibilities\nAssist with intake interviews and client assessments\nSupport case managers in developing and tracking individualized service plans\nHelp coordinate referrals to community partners and services\nMaintain accurate and confidential client records\nUpdate client’s hard copy files as needed and file away\nAssist in planning and facilitating workshops, events, and resource fairs\nConduct follow-up calls and check-ins with clients\nSupport data entry and reporting for program outcomes\nHelp identify resources for client needs such as housing, employment, or childcare\nProvide general administrative support as needed, including answering phone calls, making copies, and assisting with day-to-day office tasks.\nComplete the volunteer intake and required training process for The Methodist Home for Children & Youth\nQualifications/Competencies\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, or a related field\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nPassion for community service and helping families achieve self-sufficiency\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity\nBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)\nDetail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nReliable transportation and flexibility to attend occasional off-site events\nCultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations\nPay Rate: $15/hr -
