You'll oversee key aspects of the monthly close and financial reporting process, support company audits, lead and develop accounting team members, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across the organization. \nThis position offers the opportunity to influence business outcomes, collaborate cross-functionally, and help shape the future of accounting operations at Merchants Fleet. \nWhat You'll Do \nLead and oversee the month-end close and financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. \nPrepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations. \nManage a portfolio of account reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by team members. \nEnsure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of accounting data and financial information. \nAnalyze accounting and operational processes and recommend improvements that drive efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness. \nDevelop a deep understanding of budget and forecast drivers and evaluate variances against actual results. \nLead, coach, and develop accounting team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. \nSupport internal and external audit activities and help ensure successful audit outcomes. \nPartner with business leaders and stakeholders across the organization to support financial reporting and business objectives. \nParticipate in special projects and strategic initiatives that support company growth and operational excellence. \nWhat Makes You Successful \nAt Merchants, successful leaders do more than manage processes.
