If you want to see your work matter immediately, this is it.\nThe Role\nYou'll own the infrastructure that keeps Merciv running at enterprise scale. You'll architect, build, and maintain the cloud systems that Fortune 500 retailers trust with their most critical data and decision-making. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role - you'll work closely with backend and ML engineers to ensure our platform is secure, scalable, and relentlessly reliable.\nWe believe in GitOps, infrastructure as code, and building systems that let engineering teams move fast without breaking things. You'll be the person who makes that real.\nWhat You'll Do\nArchitect and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt) on AWS\n\nDesign and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines; convert manual processes into automated, repeatable workflows\n\nOwn production reliability - set up observability stacks, define SLI/SLOs, and lead incident response\n\nImplement and champion GitOps workflows for all infrastructure deployments\n\nBuild compliance-ready infrastructure (SOC 2, GDPR) with IAM best practices and secrets management\n\nOptimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability at scale\n\nCreate developer tooling and documentation that accelerates engineering workflows across the team\n\nMentor team members on DevOps best practices and guide infrastructure strategy\n\nYou May Be a Good Fit If\nYou have 4-7+ years of industry experience with at least 4 years in hands-on DevOps/infrastructure roles\n\nYou have 4+ years managing cloud infrastructure in production - AWS strongly preferred\n\nYou have 2+ years of production Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred)\n\nYou're deeply proficient in Terraform/Terragrunt and Infrastructure-as-Code principles\n\nYou have strong scripting skills in Python and Bash - you automate everything you can\n\nYou have experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)\n\nYou have a security-first mindset with experience implementing compliance frameworks\n\nFormer technical founders are encouraged to apply - we care more about what you've built than how long you've been building\n\nBonus points for:\nExperience supporting ML/AI workloads and GPU infrastructure\n\nFamiliarity with service mesh architectures and advanced networking\n\nExperience with multi-tenant enterprise SaaS infrastructure\n\nBackground in cost optimization and FinOps practices\n\nHow We're Different\nMost AI platforms bolt intelligence onto existing workflows.
