This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of using leading-edge science to save and improve lives around the world.\nYour Key Contributions\nYou'll take ownership of country and site budgets, developing, negotiating, and completing Clinical Trial Research Agreements (CTRA).\nOversee and track all clinical research-related payments.\nYou'll execute and oversee clinical trial country submissions and approvals for assigned protocols.\nManage country deliverables, timelines, and results to meet our commitments.\nEnsure top-notch quality and compliance in all assigned protocols within the country.\nContribute to the development of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and oversee Clinical Trial Coordinators (CTCs) as needed.\nYou'll coordinate and liaise with Clinical Research Managers (CRM), CTCs, Clinical Research Associates (CRA), and other departments to ensure country deliverables are achieved.\nCollaborate closely with Headquarters to align country timelines for protocols.\nProvide support and oversight to local vendors where applicable.\nYou'll manage local processes including supply management, importing/exporting, supplies destruction, filing, archiving, retention requirements, and insurance process management.\nEnter and update country information in clinical and finance systems.\nWork internally with various departments such as GCTO country operations, finance, regulatory affairs, and externally with vendors, sites, and regulatory authorities for submission and approval-related interactions.\nDeliver clinical and financial contracts within fair market value through continuous interaction with local clinical teams.\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nRequired\nYou have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance/ Administration/ Life Science or equivalent Health Care related experience.\nMinimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in clinical research or combined experience in Clinical Research and Finance/Business.\nExperience in regulatory or finance functions.\nYou possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify issues and risks, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.\nEffective time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.\nA high sense of accountability and urgency to properly prioritize deliverables.\nYour communication, leadership, and negotiation skills are exceptional.\nExcellent influencing and training/mentoring skills, both written and verbal, in local language and English.\nAbility to juggle multiple deliverables and protocols simultaneously with ease.\nPreferred\nAdditional experience in both regulatory and finance functions is considered a strong advantage.\nPlease note that there are three open vacancies for this role.\nThe final level of the position (associate COM I, associate COM II, or COM) will be determined based on the candidate’s actual experience and demonstrated capabilities in clinical trial activities.\nAdditional location(s) Compensation Information:\nRequired Skills:\nAdaptability, Adaptability, Business Management, Causal Reasoning, Clinical Operations, Clinical Site Management, Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA), Clinical Trial Compliance, Clinical Trial Documentation, Clinical Trial Management, Clinical Trial Planning, Clinical Trials Monitoring, Clinical Trials Operations, Conflict Management, Critical Thinking, Cross-Cultural Awareness, ICH GCP Guidelines, Influencing Skills, Medical Management, Negotiation, Patient Recruitment, People Management, Performance Plans, Problem Identification, Process Management {+ 7 more}Preferred Skills:\nCurrent Employees apply HERE\nCurrent Contingent Workers apply HERE\nSearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully\nMerck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
