This role will play an important part in supporting new product introductions, technical transfers and process development activities within an API manufacturing environment.\nWhat you will do\nBring energy, technical knowledge and innovation to the role by supporting the following activities:\nAct as a key contributor to new product introduction and technical transfer activities to and from the site, including the introduction of new technologies.\nWork as part of a multifunctional and diverse team to deliver project objectives within agreed schedules and product launch milestones.\nSupport day-to-day development plans across projects, working closely with global Research and Development partners.\nContribute to the evaluation of raw materials, process fit assessments, optimisation and development of chemical API processes.\nParticipate in campaign preparation, safety and environmental reviews, batch sheet reviews, regulatory and validation compliance activities, process monitoring, cycle-time studies, deviation investigations and filing strategy development.\nApply technical problem-solving skills to investigate issues, identify root causes and deliver effective, compliant solutions.\nProvide subject matter expertise in API processing unit operations and scale-up opportunities.\nIdentify and address technical constraints to support successful process demonstration through piloting and validation.\nCommunicate effectively across functions and organisational boundaries, providing clear technical guidance to colleagues at all levels.\nDemonstrate a professional, reliable and collaborative approach, with a strong commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement.\nWhat skills you will need\nTo be successful in this role, you will most likely have:\nA degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.\nA minimum of one year’s post-graduation experience or knowledge in pharmaceutical API manufacturing, process development or a related technical environment.\nExperience in process modelling, process simulation and/or data analytics would be an advantage.\nA self-motivated approach with the ability to influence and support others in implementing improvement initiatives.\nStrong personal integrity, credibility and energy.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of diverse, cross-functional teams.\nA practical and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to safe, compliant and reliable delivery.\nRequired Skills:\nChemical Engineering, Data Analysis, Engineering Design, Engineering Standards, Estimation and Planning, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Equipment, Manufacturing Scale-Up, Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Professional Engineering, Project Management, Self Motivation, Teamwork, Technical WritingPreferred Skills:\nCurrent Employees apply HERE\nCurrent Contingent Workers apply HERE\nSearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully\nMerck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
