The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating secure multi-account Landing Zones (Public and Private Cloud) , cloud governance frameworks, automation solutions leveraging DevOps and Ai tools and cloud financial management (FinOps). The candidate will work closely with application teams, security teams, and architects to enable secure, compliant, and scalable cloud adoption across China.\nAs a member of the Cloud Engineering team, he/she will be responsible for:\nContinuously evolve the multi-cloud Landing Zone by adopting global standards, governance frameworks, and security controls. \nPartner with technical teams to provide cloud architecture consultation, design reviews, and technical guidance for China cloud initiatives. \nPromote cloud engineering practices through training sessions, workshops, and communities of practice. \nDesign and implement automation solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. Preferred to have deep knowledge on DevOps and Ai tools.\nSupport FinOps activities, including cost management, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and usage governance across multi-cloud environments. \nDevelop and maintain SDLC, operational, and technical documentation for cloud platforms and new service capabilities. \nEducation Background\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. \nRequired Experience and Skills\n6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering. \n3+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS China and Alibaba Cloud. \nExperience designing and operating multi-account Landing Zones and cloud governance frameworks. \nStrong knowledge of SSO, IAM, logging, monitoring, and compliance. \nExperience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Alibaba ROS. \nExperience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.\nAi background: Alibaba QWEN, Claude and CoPilot \nStrong programming and automation skills using Python, Terraform, or similar scripting languages. \nExperience with cloud financial management tools and reporting platforms. \nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English. \nRequired Skills:\nAlibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, English Language, Problem Solving, Python (Programming Language)Preferred Skills:\nCommunication, Information Technology (IT) InfrastructureCurrent Employees apply HERE\nCurrent Contingent Workers apply HERE\nSearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully\nMerck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
