Because when it comes to animal health, no one sees it like we do.\nManager of Maintenance and Engineering\nThe Manager of Maintenance and Engineering is responsible for leading maintenance, reliability, facilities, and plant engineering activities at the Dallas Technology Solutions Site. This role ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure while driving continuous improvement, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, capital projects, and cross-functional support for production goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the site maintenance and engineering teams, including maintenance technicians, planners, supervisors, engineers, contractors, and third-party service providers.\nDevelop, implement, and sustain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and overall equipment effectiveness.\nPartner with Operations, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, and other site leaders to align maintenance and engineering priorities with production schedules and business objectives.\nOversee troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures, recurring downtime, process interruptions, and reliability issues.\nManage capital projects, equipment upgrades, facility improvements, installation activities, commissioning, and start-up support from planning through execution.\nOwn maintenance planning, scheduling, spare parts strategy, MRO inventory, contractor coordination, and shutdown planning to minimize operational disruption.\nMaintain compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, quality standards, and applicable manufacturing or industry-specific requirements.\nManage departmental budgets, labor utilization, maintenance spending, project costs, and vendor performance to achieve cost, safety, and reliability targets.\nUse CMMS data, maintenance KPIs, downtime trends, and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities and track team performance.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, reliability-centered maintenance, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.\nSupport employee development through coaching, performance management, technical training, succession planning, and a strong culture of accountability and teamwork.\nEnsure accurate technical documentation, equipment records, standard operating procedures, drawings, manuals, and maintenance work histories are maintained.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance, engineering, reliability, or technical leadership within a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading maintenance teams, managing technical personnel, and coordinating work across multiple shifts or production areas.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, utilities, facilities, and production equipment systems used in manufacturing operations.\nExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and reliability improvement practices.\nProven ability to manage capital projects, contractors, budgets, timelines, equipment installations, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, environmental compliance, and safe work practices.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to urgent equipment, facility, or production-related issues as needed.\nExperience with PLCs, automation systems, instrumentation, robotics, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, SCADA, or other industrial controls platforms.\nStrong business acumen, including experience with maintenance budgets, capital planning, cost reduction, equipment lifecycle planning, and project justification.\nExperience leading culture change, technician skill development, apprenticeship programs, or multi-site maintenance standardization initiatives.\nKnowledge of reliability engineering tools such as root cause analysis, FMEA, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication programs, and reliability-centered maintenance.\nExperience implementing or improving CMMS platforms, maintenance planning processes, storeroom controls, and maintenance KPI dashboards.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience in high-speed, regulated, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, consumer goods, or other complex manufacturing environments.\nProfessional certifications such as CMRP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, TPM, OSHA 30, or related reliability and project management credentials.\nAbility to influence across departments, communicate with senior leadership, and build strong partnerships with Operations, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and external vendors.\nWork Environment and Leadership Expectations\nThis position is based at a manufacturing site and requires regular presence on the production floor, in maintenance areas, and around operating equipment.
