And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a motivated and technically skilled ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM Data Architect(R2) to support the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise CMDB/CSDM.\nThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Administration and implementation of CMDB/CSDM,Discovery, CMDB data quality, and integration onboarding.\nThe resource will work closely with CMDB Architects, Infrastructure Teams, Cloud Teams, Application Owners, and Platform Engineers to maintain accurate and reliable Configuration Management data.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCMDB & CSDM Architecture & Governance\nMaintain CMDB data models, CI class hierarchies, relationships, and lifecycle management processes. \nSupport CMDB governance activities, foundation data management, and onboarding of new applications and services. \nSupport the implementation and adoption of CSDM across Business Applications, Application Services, Technical Services, and Infrastructure Services. \nAssist with CMDB audits, compliance reviews, and remediation initiatives. \nDiscovery & Integrations\nAssist with Identification & Reconciliation (IRE) configuration and data source governance. \nConfigure, monitor, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, and Service Mapping. \nSupport onboarding and maintenance of CMDB integrations such as AWS, Azure, SCCM, Qualys, Wiz, Armis, Nozomi, and other data sources. \nTroubleshoot discovery, reconciliation, and CI population issues.\nData Quality & CMDB Health\nMonitor and improve CMDB Health focusing on Completeness, Correctness, Compliance, and Data Freshness. \nInvestigate and remediate duplicate, stale, orphaned, and incorrectly classified CIs. \nSupport Data Certification, Data Attestation, and data quality improvement initiatives. \nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for CMDB data issues. \nExperience Required:\n5-7 Years of Overall IT Experience\nMandatory Experience\nMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience. \nMinimum 3+ years of experience supporting CMDB, CSDM, ITOM Discovery, and ServiceNow platform administration. \nWorking knowledge of CMDB Data Architecture, CI lifecycle management, and data governance concepts. \nExperience supporting CMDB integrations and onboarding new data sources. \nGood understanding of ITSM processes and ServiceNow platform capabilities. \nRequired technical skills:\nServiceNow CMDB & CSDM\nCMDB Architecture & Governance \nCommon Service Data Model (CSDM) \nITOM Discovery & Service Mapping \nIdentification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE) \nCMDB Health & Data Certification \nService Graph Connectors & Integrations \nMID Server Administration \nREST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub \nData Governance & Quality\nCI Lifecycle & Relationship Management \nFoundation Data Governance \nCMDB Data Quality Management \nSource Reconciliation & Data Ownership \nDuplicate CI Remediation \nInfrastructure & Cloud Knowledge\nknowledge of: \nWindows & Linux Servers \nNetwork Devices & Databases \nAWS & Azure Cloud Platform.\nMandatory Certifications:\nThe candidate must possess the following active ServiceNow certifications:\nCSA - Certified System Administrator \nCertified Implementation Specialist - Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM) \nPreferred Certifications:\nCertified Implementation Specialist - Discovery \nCAD - Certified Application Developer \nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) \nSoft Skills:\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills. \nGood communication and stakeholder interaction capabilities. \nAbility to work in a global and cross-functional environment. \nStrong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset. \nEagerness to learn and grow in CMDB Architecture and ITOM domains. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members. \nKey Success Factors:\nStrong understanding of CMDB and CSDM fundamentals. \nAbility to troubleshoot Discovery, CMDB, and Integration issues. \nExperience supporting enterprise CMDB environments. \nCapability to work with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams. \nAbility to improve CMDB data quality through governance and remediation initiatives. \nDemonstrated interest in growing into a CMDB/CSDM Architect role. \nWho we are:\nWe are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and MSD everywhere else.
