All outputs will be critically evaluated, validated, and documented in accordance with applicable departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), good programming practices, and scientific quality standards.\nThe scientist will perform independent validation activities and contribute to the development and maintenance of reusable programming standards within the dedicated HTA library.\nResponsibilities:\nProgrammatically develop, validate and maintain analysis and reporting deliverables for HTA dossiers\nAssure deliverable quality and compliance with departmental SOPs and good programming practices\nCollaborate effectively with project team members; be a valued part of project teams\nMembership on departmental strategic initiative teams\nSkills:\nEducation and Minimum Requirement:\nMS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering or related analytical field\nBA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering or related analytical field plus 2-4-year programming experience in programming languages like SAS and/or R\nDepartment Required Skills and Experience:\nEffective interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively\nEffective English written, oral, and presentation skills\nEffective knowledge in developing analysis and reporting deliverables for R&D projects (data, analyses, tables, graphics, listings)\n\nPosition Specific Required Skills and Experience:\nProgramming experience including data processing, statistical procedures and graphing and tabulation techniques; systems and database expertise\nAbility to learn new program techniques and data structures quickly and effectively; capacity to seamlessly assimilate to new projects\nBasic understanding of statistics, clinical and data management concepts as applied to drug/vaccine development within the pharmaceutical industry\nAbility to comprehend analysis plans which may describe HTA research and statistical programming methodology to be programmed\nTakes direction effectively and completes programming tasks under the guidance of a senior programmer at a project level\nAn interest to advance career by investing in development activities and taking on tasks with increasing levels of challenge and responsibility\nTeam oriented with demonstrated history of teamwork and collaboration across cultures and geographies, enjoying diversity, respect and integrity\nKnowledge in CDISC SDTM and ADaM industry standards is an asset\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExperience in supporting analysis and reporting deliverables for HTA dossiers\nUnix operating system experience; Oracle SQL experience; systems and database experience, R programming experience\nDemonstrated success in the assurance of deliverable quality and process compliance.
