External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nEMD Electronics is seeking an Equipment Engineering Manager. This role can be based in Breinigsville, PA, Chandler, AZ or Austin, TX. As an Engineering Lead for our semiconductor delivery equipment, you are an integral part of the success of our Delivery Systems and Services business. The business demands that you prioritize safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency. You will drive the execution of new semiconductor equipment offerings that are distributed globally by interacting with quality, operations, engineering, sales, site services, and sourcing teams internally. You will be instrumental in translating customer needs into a valued offering that EMD Electronics can provide. You will create engineering solutions to the problems facing the advancement of the electronics industry.\nResponsibilities:\nLeadership & People Development\nLead, coach, and develop members of the equipment engineering team\n\nEstablish competency models, technical standards, development plans, succession coverage, and disciplined engineering practices.\n\nOwn performance management, hiring, workforce planning, resource allocation, and organizational capability building.\n\nPromote a culture of safety, customer focus, innovation, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.\n\nProduct Lifecycle Ownership\nDrive technology refresh, value engineering, obsolescence management, component standardization, and margin-improvement initiatives.\n\nGovern Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Management of Change (MOC), configuration control, design reviews, and release documentation.\n\nBalance customer requirements with manufacturability, serviceability, supply continuity, quality, and platform scalability.\n\nNew Product Development & Industrialization\nLead development of new equipment platforms, options, derivatives, and customer-specific configurations using disciplined stage-gate governance.\n\nPartner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure production readiness, test readiness, documentation completeness, and controlled product release.\n\nSupport Sales, Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Site Services with technical proposals, design reviews, and solution positioning.\n\nLead complex troubleshooting e.g. customer escalation, structured root-cause analysis, CAPA, yield improvement, and recurring-defect elimination.\n\nPartner with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, and Operations to improve equipment quality, delivery, cost, and field performance.\n\nEnsure equipment complies with applicable SEMI, CE, UL, NFPA, IEC, and regional regulatory requirements.\n\nThis position will include travel of up to 10%.\nWho You Are\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering field\n\n7+ years of experience in an Engineering role\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n10+ years of experience in an engineering role\n\n5 years of experience with semiconductor aqueous chemical and slurry delivery\n\nSemiconductor/microelectronics or related experience\n\nProven success in applying problem solving and analytical skills\n\nAbility to understand technical details of products to troubleshoot and drive improvements.\n\nLeadership skills to influence focus on product development\n\nCritical attention to detail and investigation skills\n\nAbility to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines\n\nFamiliarity with SolidWorks, ASPEN, HAZOP, FMEA, MOC and Flow Modeling applications\n\nExperience with advanced process control techniques and applications\n\nExperience with Semi standards\n\nKnowledgeable in application of metrology including: densitometers, chemical concentration monitors, conductivity meters, liquid particle counters, liquid detectors, pressure and flow transmitters, mass/liquid flow control, spectroscopy\n\nExperience collaborating with diverse, global teams to meet business and customer needs\n\nAn enthusiastic learner, who wants to solve complex problems in a thriving organization\n\nDemonstrated business acumen with the ability to develop compelling technical readiness and effectively influence stakeholders across organizational levels and diverse cultural environments\n\nBase Pay Range for this position - $133k - $145,500\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
