External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nThe Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma’s Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:\nCheck chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions \nAccurately pull and stage materials from storage locations, ensuring order accuracy and stockroom organization \nPackage materials and apply all required labeling in strict accordance with established procedures and hazardous materials regulations \nStage finished boxes to be metered and shipped and distribute completed orders to the appropriate area of the facility \nUse proper equipment for appropriate order (size of order, weight, etc.,) \nUnload inbound trucks and unpack shipments, distributing materials to designated storage locations \nStore and organize unpacked items and packing material in appropriate areas of warehouse and perform shelf maintenance in stock areas \nPick up trash and debris in work station and stock areas \nHours: Monday-Friday. Core shift hours are typically 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with flexibility in start and end times (up to a one-hour variance). Eligible for overtime. Occasional weekend hours may be necessary \nPhysical Attributes:\nStand, walk and move between areas for the duration of shift \nWho You Are\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \nPreferred Qualifications:\n1+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting \nExperience with pallet jack operation, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines and various cutting instruments) \nExperience with PC and printer operation \nPay Range for this position - $16.00 - $25.00/Hour\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
