As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect and Senior Cloud Backend Engineer within the Engineering team in Healthcare R&D, you will serve as a recognized technical authority - designing, building, and evolving secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native platforms that directly accelerate research outcomes.\nYou will own and drive the technical roadmap for cloud infrastructure, lead the engineering of data archiving processes, implement new platform capabilities, and ensure robust, high-quality deployments. Operating with a high degree of independence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the US, Europe, and India - translating complex technical challenges into innovative, enterprise-grade solutions built primarily on AWS and integrated with Azure Active Directory.\nWho You Are\nYou hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or bring equivalent professional experience in cloud architecture and backend engineering.\nYou have 10 or more years of hands-on experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native systems using AWS services at enterprise scale.\nYou bring deep proficiency in Python, SQL, and relational databases, with additional experience in object-oriented languages such as Scala, Java, or C#.\nYou have strong expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, serverless design patterns, and CI/CD pipeline development, preferably using Azure DevOps.\nYou are well-versed in AWS security best practices, including multi-factor authentication, encryption, and identity and access management policies.\nYou communicate fluently in English and are experienced working effectively across geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.\nExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS Fargate), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK), or data platforms such as Snowflake is an advantage.\nWhat we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
