External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nAs a Purchasing Specialist 2 you will plan all assigned raw materials, indirect materials and process orders in ERP System.\nGeneral Administrative duties as assigned. \nConvert planned orders to requisitions and into purchase orders (including raw materials, finished goods, subcontracted materials, custom orders and blanket releases).\nAcknowledge order placement with suppliers for order acceptance and delivery confirmation.\nProactively monitor and make decisions to expedite orders to ensure material is delivered on time.\nSuccessfully resolve all receiving discrepancies from suppliers.\nSuccessfully resolve all invoice discrepancies from suppliers.\nUpdate and maintain Purchasing records in ERP system.\nLight negotiation and supplier sourcing activities.\nPerform Requests for Quotes, Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals as assigned.\nProcess product change system forms for changes to materials.\nReview and qualify new suppliers according to standard operating procedures.\nIndependently review, discuss and work closely with Supervisor and make decisions to resolve all issues.\nOther duties as assigned. \nWho You Are\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n7+ years of purchasing experience.\nOR\nBachelor’s Degree in any discipline.\n3+ years of purchasing experience. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nBiochemical or Biotechnical procurement experience. \nAPICS certification. \nSix Sigma (or equivalent) certification.\nMicrosoft Office experience; advanced Excel experience and knowledge.\nExperience in SAP. \nTeam leadership experience.\nKnowledge of current purchasing principles, methods, and techniques. \nKnowledge of Materials Requirements Planning and Planning Practices.\nAbility to professionally communicate with multiple levels within and outside the organization.\nStrong analytical skills.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nHighly effective verbal and written skills including professional email etiquette. \nAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines.\nPay Range for this position: $67,600 - $101,400\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
