External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role\nThe employee is responsible for effective planning, development, and execution of work plans for programs as measured by the ability to meet agreed upon milestones, budgetary constraints, and scope. The Senior Project Manager will support key clients and organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the company. The incumbent will support special programs and projects as specified by the executive leadership team.\nMajor Position Activities & Responsibilities:\nManage the operational aspects of the sites most critical projects and programs, including, but not limited to: scope, schedule, cost, earned value, quality, communications, risk, and change.\nCarry out coordinated organization, direction and implementation of projects and programs and transform activities to achieve outcomes and realize benefits of strategic importance to the business.\nProvide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture.\nCoordinating programs and projects and their interdependencies across the company; manage and utilize resources across projects.\nKey Project Management resource for internal and external communication with significant clients; chairing formal tactical meetings and appropriate Senior Management steering committees.\nWorks across projects and development programs to conduct post-project review, share lessons learned, and develop best practices.\nCollaborates with intracompany sites within commercial and manufacturing to enable program integration and seamless delivery to the customer.\nManagement of projects and relationships to add value through delivered capability.\nCoordinates with the Business Development department on identifying new business opportunities and supports proposal development and delivery to existing and new clients.\nCoordinates with the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls regarding development and implementation of methodologies.\nAssess project management training needs and recommends training tools for team members.\nInfluences staff with diverse array of talents and responsibilities to produce results in a timely manner.\nEnsures optimal integration and communication across all departments with regard to projects.\nOther duties as assigned.\nScope:\nThe employee has indirect mentor and training responsibilities for other site project managers. \nWho You Are\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the\nessential functions:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or Master's degree within a health/biomedical/sciences field, or related field and equivalent experience.\n8 years or more experience in Project Management within the pharmaceutical industry, or foundational experience within the pharmaceutical industry in QA, QC, Engineering, Scientific, Commercial, or Manufacturing functions; Knowledge of both business and industry processes and the organization’s strategic objectives.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProject Management certification (PMP®) or Program Management certification (PgMP®) is preferred.\nSolid proficiency in program and project management methodologies.\nMeaningful experience of effective portfolio management, having been a strong member of program management teams.\nStrong critical thinking and prioritization skills, and ability to organize workflow activities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong knowledge and experience in the use of various tools and technology to aid Program and Project Management\nExcellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate sensitive information and maintain confidential information.\nGood understanding of the management structure, policies, and culture of the organization.\nExperience managing very complex situations while maintaining focus on the program’s objectives.\nExperience writing project proposals and service agreements.\nAbility to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management.\nUnderstanding of drug development, regulatory, QA, and CMC processes, and clinical trials operations.\nAbility to successfully train and provide guidance to new or junior members of the Project Development department.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nPay Range for this position: $108,200-162,200\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
