Responsibilities of the Role:\nInstall, terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7 copper cabling\nInstall, terminate and patch fibre optic cabling\nCapable of testing copper cabling installation\nCapable of testing fibre cabling installation\nTroubleshoot cabling faults\nProduce test results and handover documentation\nUnderstand cabling drawings and schematics\nRack and stack IT and telecoms equipment\nPatch and manage network connections\nSupport network upgrades and migrations\nInstall containment systems (cable tray / trunking)\nRead and understand project specifications\nLabel and document installation to project specifications\nProvide daily and weekly progress reports\nFollow Health and Safety procedures\nAbility to communicate clearly with Project Manager / Project supervisor and other trades on site\nSupport commissioning teams and project handover\nProblem solving under pressure\nAll other duties associated with the role\nEssential Criteria for the Role:\nExcellent communication skills\nExperience with testing fibre using ODTR / OLTS equipment\nExperience reading detailed construction drawings / rack elevations / schematics / cable schedules\nPrevious experience leading a small team\nMEWP working at height / manual handling certification\nBasic computer skills ( MS Office Suite / Windows / MS Project)\nMercury is an equal
