We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential.\nResponsibilities of the Role:\nManagement of Site Safety in conjunction with the project manager and the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.\nManagement of Site QA with regards to the CSA works on site ensuring that a robust system is in place to avoid future issues. Record and documents all facets of the works.\nAssist with management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements\nReview design information issued to ACC or associated platforms and ensure on time review of same.\nManagement of all day-to-day site operations as outlined by the Project Manager\nEnsure Mercury Policies and procedures are followed closely.\nAssist with management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is, and you attend, a weekly minute of meeting with sub-contractors.\nIssue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking cen-trally.\nAttendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings\nIssue internal weekly progress report, to the project manager, highlighting areas not availa-ble, delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage complete.\nMaintain a weekly project photographic diary.\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to develop comprehen-sive project plans and ensure delivery on schedule.\nCollaborate with any other consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, estimators, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project\nLiaise with clients and other 3rd parties as required, such as insurance companies, vendors, etc.\nRaise any design-related risks to planning, commercial and management, and establish a course to minimise their impact.\nAttend design related meetings and provide continual input for optimisation.\nCollaborate on new design issues/ changes/ research within the team.\nAssist with new tenders and PCSA (pre-construction services agreements) deliverables within the Business Unit.\nEnsure civil, structural, and architectural technical compliance\nEnsure knowledge of client design standards.\nPerform structural steelwork and concrete analysis and calculations to ensure the stability and safety of structures.\nAssess and mitigate potential risks and issues as they’re identified in design, or that could have potential impact on construction activities.\nReview design proposals by others for suitability and constructability.\nOffer proposals for value engineering (VE) and off-site manufacturing (OSM).\nCoordinate and manage coordination of CSA disciplines and interfaces with MEP.\nMange, monitor, and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or archi-tect.\nFollow closely the fabrication planning and execution phases to provide support as neces-sary.\nFully understand the scope of the Project works as per the Design/IFC specifications and drawings.\nCorrespondence with Client , Construction team and subcontractors.\nMentor & Develop Junior & Graduate engineers within the team to progress their experience and knowledge\nAssist to review project schedule and ensure engineering activities do not impact on same (e.g., Procurement, structural design, tech subs, etc).\nFollow closely site install to ensure scope is installed to design, project specifications and lo-cal codes\nAbility to liaise directly with clients, architects, and other design discipline team members, building long-term internal and external relationships:\nBe a team player.\nWilling to learn and understand multidisciplinary design and construction processes\nEssential Criteria:\n5-7 years’ experience in Structural Engineering\nChartered or in the process as a Structural Engineer\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.\nAn understanding and/or experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre or similar environment.\nUnderstanding all the associated safety code related requirements relative to provid-ing the service.\nUnderstanding of Health & Safety Risk Assessments, HRAs and Control Measures.\nExperience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to en-sure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projects.\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, employees and
