Responsibilities of the Role:\nAssist with the installation of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7 copper cabling within containment systems including overhead cable tray / basket and conduit.\nAssist with the installation of fibre optic cabling within containment including overhead cable tray / basket and fibre management systems.\nLearn correct cable management techniques including bend radius, pulling tensions, cable dressing etc.\nAssist with the installation and dressing of fibre and copper cables within network cabinets and racks\nLearn fibreoptic handling, cleaning, inspection and connector care procedures\nSupport the testing of fibre and copper cabling installation under the supervision of experienced technicians\nDevelop an understanding of fibreoptic test equipment\nAssist with labelling of cables, network ports, network cabinets and racks\nDevelop an understanding of network drawings, schematics, cable schedules and installation standards\nDevelop an understanding of project handover documentation\nDevelop an understanding of housekeeping standards\nFollow Health and Safety procedures\nAttend daily toolbox talks, whiteboard and other safety meetings\nDevelop an understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other site-specific working procedures\nDevelop an understanding of the correct use of PPE including safety harnesses\nAll other duties associated with the role\nEssential Criteria for the Role:\nAbility to communicate clearly with other team members \nStrong interest in developing a career within the telecoms industry\nWilling to learn and take instruction\nReliable and punctual\nAttention to detail\nComfortable working in a construction environment\nDesirable Criteria:\nExcellent communication skills\nPrevious construction,
