We are a unified team that is continuously discovering the best ways to serve our customers.\nSUMMARY\nThe Technician I will be trained to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment and stationary equipment such as loading bridges, stationary air conditioning units, baggage conveyor systems, ground power units, and other equipment in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.\nRequirements\nJOB DUTIES\nThe following functions may be performed in variable weather and environmental conditions such as jet engine fumes, dust, or jet engine noise:\nTrained to inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul ground support equipment and components such as chassis, body, and drive-train components.\nAbility to learn electrical and hydraulic schematics.\nPerform preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolant and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on-ground equipment.\nPerform minor repair of ground support equipment such as carburetors, starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, and diesel engines under supervison.\nAble to safely and legally able to operate a motor vehicle.\nEnsure tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition.\nReport any safety violation, machining equipment misusage, and/or properly performed work to supervisor or lead. \nResponsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by federal, local, and state governments, Mercury GSE, and HSE Procedures.\nKeep work area clean and free of any safety hazards.\nPerform other related duties as assigned or requested.
