The clever part was never the lock; it was master keying. The same door opens for a guest with one key and the manager with another, each cut to a different depth of authority. It solved the problem every growing building has, and introduced a new one, because now a single key opens everything.\nThe hard part was never the lock. It's deciding who gets which key.\nMercury is built for the building class: those who act on their ambition, who see something that doesn't exist and decide to make it real with their time, money, and team; whether that's a side project or a scaling unicorn. We build the financial stack for them, backed by elegant and intelligent software meant to work from day one to scale.\nThe Users team owns who is allowed to do what: roles, permissions, invitations, and the authorization layer every other product team builds on. From a solo founder working with agents to an enterprise onboarding employees for spend without exposing banking* details, our job is to support that range while keeping the core product simple.\nEvery product Mercury adds brings new kinds of users and makes the model more capable. Getting this right is the difference between being a place founders bank and a financial stack companies run on.\n* Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.\nWhat you’ll do:\nOwn the experience of collaboration on Mercury - when a founder adds an employee, finance team, or accountant, we need to consider the roles, permissions, and product experiences that help them get work done \nMake it easier for a founder to bring their whole team onto Mercury: find out why they hesitate, and make invitation obvious, easy, and high-trust\nTake it everywhere: build for the experience across email, slack, iMessage and wherever people are interacting about finance \nBuild for scale: work with our largest customers to understand how they manage employee spend and financial operations as they grow, delivering critical functionality that empowers\nShape where this space goes as our product ambition grows and the kinds of users we support change, agents among them\nWhat we need from you: \n7+ years of relevant product management experience, preferably on collaboration products or platform teams accountable for identity, roles, and authorization\nTaste, and the judgment to balance product against platform. Permission models usually get more powerful by getting more complicated, and the opportunity here is to refuse that trade. This is arcane overhead at most companies; we'd like it to be a reason customers choose us\nProduct teams should want you in the room early. On a team that is driving proactive collaboration about how we unblock collaboration for our customers\nA point of view on agentic action, and on which parts of this get harder when the actor isn't a person\nA track record of turning ambiguity into a clear point of view, independently\nThe ability to take complex problems end to end (research, design, engineering, GTM, stakeholder management) autonomously\nMercury values diversity & belonging and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All individuals seeking employment at Mercury are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process for applicants with disabilities or special needs. If you need assistance, or an accommodation, please let your recruiter know once you are contacted about a role.\nTotal Rewards\nThe total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.\nOur salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.\nOur target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following :\nUS employees (any location):\n$200,700—$250,900 USD\nCanadian employees (any location):\n$189,700—$237,100 CAD","description_format":"text","description_chars":4445,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":7,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Stock options"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"},{"name":"Canada","iso":"CA","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Financial Software & Embedded Finance","Digital Banks & Neobanks"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-08-20T15:47:38Z"},{"event":"close","at":"2026-10-03T05:53:39Z"},{"event":"reopen","at":"2026-10-09T23:36:57Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":38,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.873,"p_room":0.44,"age_days":62,"expected_fill_days":52,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-22T06:10:10Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":250900,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/mercury-senior-product-manager-users","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/mercury-senior-product-manager-users.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-23T05:11:12Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":8547,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-24T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4381},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4381"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fmercury-senior-product-manager-users"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fmercury-senior-product-manager-users"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fmercury-senior-product-manager-users"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/mercury-senior-product-manager-users\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fmercury-senior-product-manager-users"}]}
