This is an execution- and build-focused role: you'll manage cash movements and approvals, maintain Treasury's core reporting cadence, and - critically - design and build the automated tools and workflows that let Treasury operate without relying on manual spreadsheet work or costly third-party platforms.\nWe're especially interested in candidates who are fluent with modern AI and prioritize process and reporting automations. If you've automated processes to gain scale and efficiency we want to hear about it.\nCash Management & Operations:\nExecute and approve daily cash movements across Mercury's accounts, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and timely settlement\nMaintain daily cash positioning and reporting, tracking balances across operating, reserve, and partner bank accounts\nManage reserve account funding across Mercury's partner bank relationships, ensuring balances comply with contractual requirements and reconciling reserve calculations against underlying agreements\nSupport cash forecasting by maintaining and refreshing short-term cash flow models\nOwn bank account access and rights administration\nReporting & Automation (Build Focus):\nDesign, build, and maintain automated cash and liquidity reporting - reducing reliance on manual spreadsheet processes and off-the-shelf treasury management tooling\nBuild scalable tools for cash positioning, reserve tracking, and reporting workflows\nBuild and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting packages (e.g., ALCO materials, deposit summaries, liquidity metrics)\nOwn data pulls and validation from internal systems (e.g., NetSuite, Snowflake) to support reporting accuracy\nContinuously look for manual, error-prone, or repetitive Treasury processes and propose/build automated replacements\nCross-Functional Support:\nPartner with Accounting to ensure cash activity, reserve movements, and facility transactions are properly reflected in the GL\nWork with Data/Analytics teams to acquire cash data feeds from third-party banks to support Treasury and broader Finance reporting\nSupport ALCO and management reporting with accurate, well-formatted, timely inputs\nAssist with ad hoc requests from the Treasurer and broader Finance team\nWhat We're Looking For:\nPrior experience at a fintech, bank, or other regulated financial institution\n2-5 years of experience in treasury operations, corporate treasury, FP&A, or a related finance/accounting function\nHigh attention to detail - this role involves approving real money movements and compliance-sensitive reporting\nStrong data modeling skills; comfort with large datasets\nDemonstrated experience thoughtfully transitioning manual processes to scalable automations to gain efficiencies\nFamiliarity with SQL and/or willingness to learn (Snowflake, Omni experience a plus)\nExposure to NetSuite or similar ERP/GL systems a plus\nStrong written communication; comfortable producing clean, concise reporting for senior stakeholders and external counterparties (third-party banks, lenders)\nSelf-starter comfortable in an ambiguous, build-as-you-go environment\nExperience using AI tools to prototype automated processes\nNice to Have:\nExperience with partner bank / BaaS reserve account structures\nPrior use of Treasury Management Systems\nFamiliarity with deposit sweep networks\nExperience supporting Federal Reserve account operations\nProject management skills - this role will involve owning trackers and multi-workstream initiatives\n*Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank.
