About International Finance (IF), Business Development and the Strategic Pricing Officer
Sitting at the intersection of our Business Development and International Finance teams, the Strategic Pricing Officer supports Prosper Globalability to compete effectively for funding while maintaining financial sustainability and compliance. Working under the guidance of the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager, the role contributes to the development of competitive, cost effective, and compliant proposal budgets across a range of donors and client opportunities.
The Strategic Pricing Officer provides financial analysis, budgeting support, and pricing expertise throughout the proposal development lifecycle. Thisrole helps ensure that proposal budgets reflect donor requirements, cost recovery objectives, organizational policies, and value-for-money principles.
This position partners closely with Business Development, Regional Finance, Program, and Country teams to support proposal design and budget development, while building organizational capacity in cost proposal development and pricing practices.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Pricing & Budget Development
- Support the development of pricing strategies for funding opportunities in collaboration with the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager and proposal teams.
- Contribute to the development of compliant and competitive cost proposals
- Review budget assumptions, scenarios, calculations and supporting documents to ensure consistency and accuracy
Proposal Development & Business Development Partnership
- Serve as a financepartner throughout the proposal development process, supporting teams with budget development and financial analysis.
- Work closely with Business Development and Regional teams to help assess financial feasibility and commercial pricing options.
- Support thedevelopment of proposal pricing approaches,includingcost analysis and value-for-money considerations
- Assist in evaluating commercial models and partner arrangements,where applicable
- Support partnerships and consortiumbudget development, including coordination withinternational and local partners
- Develop compliant budgets and cost proposals across a wide variety of donorsand client facing
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to translate program designs into realistic and implementable budgets
- Contribute to internal budget reviews by identifying assumptions, risks, and areas requiring further analysis
- Supportpre-positioning efforts through financial research and preliminary budget modelling
- Assist in maintaining proposal development tools, templates, and financial resources.
Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment
- Conduct financial analysis to support proposal pricing decisions and identify key cost drivers
- Assist in assessingfinancial and commercial risks associated with funding opportunities.
- Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for strategic proposals.
- Gather and analyze market and donor information to support pricing recommendations.
- Maintain pricing benchmarks and support analysis of sector trends and funding practices.
- Escalate significant pricing, compliance, or financial risks to the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager.
Country Support & Capacity Building
- Provideguidanceand supporttoCountry and Regional teamson budgeting and pricing processes.
- Assist in delivering training on proposal budgeting, cost proposal development and pricing best practices
- Contribute to the development and maintenance ofbudgetingtools, guidancedocuments, and training materials
- Promote knowledge sharing and consistent application of pricing standards across the organisation

Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
- 2-4years of experience in budgeting, proposal finance, pricing, or related field, preferably within an INGO or complex operating environment.
- Understanding of donor funding mechanismsand competitive proposal developmentprocesses with a focus on different funding modalities desired.
- Experience developing and/or reviewing budgets and financial proposals
- Stronganalytical and problem-solvingskills with high-attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively across finance, operations, programs, and business development functionsCommitment to Prosper Global’s mission and humanitarian principles.
