Our innovative culture will allow interested candidates to discover and create, through collaboration, cutting edge solutions to tough problems.\nJob Summary\nThe Shipping Clerk I position is responsible for all outbound shipments including picking, packing and processing, as well as verifying and maintaining records on outgoing shipments.\nKey Duties\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities:\nCompares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc.\nPicking, packing and processing all outgoing shipments.\nPost weights, shipping charges and prepare material for shipping.\nPalletizing, shrink-wrapping, loading prepare material for shipment.\nMaintain files and records of shipping documents for domestic and international transactions.\nOperates forklifts and order picker and all other warehouse equipment in a safe and cautious manner.\nResponsible for preparing documentation for hazardous material shipments.\nResponsible for stocking finished goods into slot locations in finished goods coolers, assuring proper storage.\nComply with FDA, QSR and ISO regulations as required.\nPhysically counts all items on daily cycle count list.\nMay be required to work non-standard shifts and weekends to support department needs.\nOther duties as assigned.\nOther Duties/Phsycial Requirements:\nAbility to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-functional facility.\nAbility to lift, on a daily basis, up to 25 pounds of supplies or finished products.\nPossess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle (van).\nMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, latex or nitrile gloves and hair net).\nMust be willing to package hazardous materials.\nAbility to work in refrigerator temperatures ranging from 2-8C.\nMust be able to analyze, concentrate and interpret processes routinely through the course of the work shift and remain focused in a fast paced open environment throughout the course of the work day.\nAbility to stand for long periods of time, stoop, reach, bend, push and pull carts and hand jacks throughout the course of the work shift.\nQualifications\nMinimum Experience or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred:\nHigh school diploma or GED is required.\nPrior experience in warehousing preferred.\nPrevious FDA regulated environment experience preferred.\nCompetencies Required or Preferred:\nMust be self starter, detail oriented and organized and be able to prioritize and balance workloads and meet strict critical deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be licensed to operate the forklifts and order picker.\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills along with excellent customer service and satisfaction skills.\nAbility to maintain regular attendance and punctuality requirements.\nMust be able to work additional hours outside the normal work shift to support department needs (evenings and weekends).\nMust be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting with peers and other departments in a cross functional setting.\nComputer proficiency (Word and Excel) previous materials handling applications (MAPICS) desirable.\nMust have basic math skills.\nExcellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analyzing skills.\nMust obtain certification to ship hazardous materials/DOT compliant within one year of hire.\nRequired Travel %\nNone\n*All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.
