The Project Manager coordinates and monitors all stages of the project management life cycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing, ensuring compliance with Meridian project standards, methodologies and guidelines. The PM will work closely with implementation resources to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and project scope is completed within the prescribed time frame and budget.\nOur Project Managers are leaders and skilled problem solvers. They’re accountable for the success of an initiative, often coordinating efforts across departments and managing cross-functional teams. They’re used to reporting progress to business owners or the executive team as well as inspiring team members to see the big picture and push toward their shared goals.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nProject Tracking and Reporting:\nSetup and track project details in current Project Management software.\nEnsure timely entry, validation, and approval of time and expenses.\nManage project budget.\nManage subcontractor time and expenses.\nFacilitate assigned project team activities such as team meetings, minutes, follow up action items, maintenance of project plans, risk and issue logs and coordination of program and project documents.\nReview, update and coordinate project status with project stakeholders and publish regular comprehensive project/program status reports.\nGather and update project materials, documentation, forecasting, and lessons learned documents.\nSetup recurring status meetings with clients, field questions, and handle issues.\nTrack project milestones and deliverables.\nIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical path.\nSet and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.\nConsistently deliver results as planned.\nAct as the point of effective control over coordination, communication, escalation, and follow-up for issues.\nRisk Management:\nResponsible for conflict management and problem resolution.\nDefine project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.\nProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues and risk, and devise contingency plans.\nCoach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.\nProvide risk management and issue/problem resolution.\nCommunications:\nManage cross-functional interdependencies.\nResponsible for clear and timely communication to multiple stakeholder groups.\nCan speak to the details of the project to both the business and technical teams from beginning to end of all projects.\nMiscellaneous:\nEffectively utilize organizational resources.\nConduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.\nBuild, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.\nResponsible for the overall success of the project.\nPerform other duties, as assigned.\nQualifications and Requirements\nBachelor's degree preferred.\n5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, leading project teams.\n5+ years of experience with cloud, data, networking, telephony, or software.\nPMP preferred, however, 10+ years of strong practical experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.\nProficient in MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, & Visio).\nExcellent project management skills including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.\nAbility to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\nStrong grasp of current communication, project tracking, budget management technologies.\nExcellent meeting, workshop, and conference facilitation skills, with proven knowledge of how to foster participation and collaboration in small and large groups.\nKnowledge and experience with different project management frameworks, including waterfall and agile.\nSolid technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle.\nEmploys strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.\nAbility to quickly learn, understand and apply new technologies.\nWillingly to mentor junior team members and share knowledge.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills.\nEffective delegation to manage and minimize risks. \nDemonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.\nAble to break down technical concepts into business terms.\nAbility to learn new technical concepts on a theoretical or high level.\nStrong team player with emphasis on soft skills and relationship building.\nAble to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously and deliver results.\nAble to handle multiple priorities and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity.\nAble to demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative.\nCan handle confidential information in a professional manner.\nMeridian Group International, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
