A Senior Enterprise Services Engineer takes complete responsibility of the development and administration of BI tools. Senior Enterprise Services Engineer roles and responsibility includes transforming raw data to valuable and meaningful insights in the form of appealing dashboards and reports. They should be analytical and an excellent communicator.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPower BI development and administration;\nBuilding Analysis Services reporting models;\nDeveloping visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop;\nConnecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence;\nExcellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports;\nAble to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI;\nProficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop;\nExpertise in using advance level calculations on the data set;\nResponsible for design methodology and project documentation;\nAble to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards;\nAdept in developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements;\nAble to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources;\nKnowledgeable and experienced in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis;\nKnowledgeable and skilled in secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, PolyBase, Visual Studio, etc.;\nAble to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation;\nExperienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI;\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications and Requirements\n8+ years' experience as a technical IT resource;\n5+ years supporting or delivering in an enterprise-level environment;\nExperience of 5+ years and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS;\n3 to 4 years of experience working with a self-service tool, preferably Power BI or Tableau.\nPrior experience in data-related tasks;\nUnderstanding of the Microsoft BI Stack;\nMastery in data analytics;\nProficient in software development;\nBe familiar with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX;\nAnalytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics;\nCapable of enabling row-level data security;\nKnowledge of Power BI application security layer models;\nAbility to run DAX queries on Power BI desktop;\nProficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set;\nExcellent communication skills to communicate needs with client and internal teams successfully.\nMeridian Group International, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
