MORSE boasts a specially selected team of scientists, engineers, and software developers to deliver best-in-class technical solutions that solve difficult multidisciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem. \nJob Summary\nAs an Aerospace Algorithms Engineer Co-op at MORSE you will be working on a broad set of applications developing novel physics, statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models for use in mission planning, modeling & simulation, and machine learning applications. MORSE is looking for engineers with a strong background in physics, aerospace, robotics, math, and statistics who are also able to develop their algorithms in software to function efficiently and be readily testable.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and own algorithms throughout their lifecycle, including conception, development, documentation, deployment, and testing.\n\nProcess and analyze raw data\n\nSimulate and validate algorithmic performance using dynamic systems.\n\nPresent technical work through white papers, analysis test reports, and oral presentations.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of algorithms into software solutions.\n\nSkills and Requirements\nThe candidate must have the ambition to own algorithms for their entire lifecycle: conception of the solution, development, documentation, deployment in software, and testing. Most importantly, the candidate must be passionate about developing solutions that are fieldable!\nUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.\n\nWorking towards a BS in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Physics or other relevant field\nProficiency in Python algorithm and software development practices.\n\nStrong background in physics, math, and statistics.\n\nExperience with developing algorithms and simulations.\n\nExperience simulating dynamic systems to test and validate algorithmic performance\n\nExperience describing systems via equations of motion derived from first-principle engineering analysis\n\nExperience presenting technical work through white papers, analysis test reports, and oral presentations\n\nOther desired skills\nExperience with digital signal processing, algorithm development, & AI/ML\n\nExperience with radar and radar processing \n\nKnowledge of aero performance and/or GNC as applied to aircraft\n\nBackground in numerical methods \n\nMORSE Corp’s pay range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
