You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team that thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where your work directly advances the design, development, and deployment of satellite constellations that governments and enterprises around the world will depend on for secure, resilient, and sovereign connectivity.\nYour Mission on the Team:\nIn this role you will be responsible for developing software tools that accelerate, streamline and organize engineering development within the organization. This includes:\nCreating infrastructure for high volume automated testing, data collection, analysis and reporting.\nCreating pipelines to organize and evaluate engineering trade studies through config management, version control, automated analysis workflows, visualization tools and comparison tools.\nSupporting infrastructure development for satellite technology demonstrations.\nBasic Qualifications\nB.S. in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field\nStrong proficiency in modern Python: type hints, testing, packaging, idiomatic library design\nComfort with structured data formats and validation (YAML, JSON, pydantic or equivalent)\nProficiency with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines\nExperience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests\nProficiency on Linux and the command line\nDemonstrated ability to build tools that other engineers actually adopt\nAbility to work autonomously and exercise good engineering judgement \nStrong interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills \nPreferred Qualifications\n3+ years of professional software development experience\nExperience building data pipelines around automated test - capturing results, organizing them, making them queryable\nHands-on experience automating lab test equipment\nProficiency with instrument control: SCPI, VISA, PyVISA, IVI, GPIB, LXI\nExperience with the scientific Python stack: NumPy, SciPy, pandas\nExperience with visualization: matplotlib, Plotly, or web-based dashboards (Streamlit, Dash, Panel)\nWorkflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar)\nTime-series or experiment-tracking systems (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, MLflow, or similar)\nContainerization (Docker) and reproducible environments\nPrior experience in fast-moving startup engineering environments\nITAR Requirements\nMeridian is required by the U.S. Government to comply with various space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
