In this role, you'll architect robust solutions, optimize complex database environments, and ensure high-performance, reliable data management across cloud and on-premises platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy, and optimize different database technology types in our multi-cloud and on-premises environments\n\nWrite and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views\n\nCreate, modify, and remove indices to improve query performance and eliminate redundant overhead across multiple database platforms\n\nDevelop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for cloud and on-premises environments\n\nConduct and document disaster recovery drills and failover testing to validate recovery procedures, RTO/RPO compliance, and team readiness\n\nMonitor database performance, analyze metrics, and implement tuning strategies\n\nCollaborate with developers and architects to design efficient data models and schemas\n\nImplement security best practices, access controls, and encryption standards across all database platforms\n\nManage database migrations, upgrades, and version control\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve database issues, including replication, clustering, and connectivity problems\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n6+ years of professional database engineering experience\n\nExpert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later), including deep knowledge of:\n\nT-SQL development (complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers)\n\nIndex strategies and execution plan optimization\n\nMSSQL Always-On Availability Groups configuration, management, and failover procedures\n\nMSSQL mirroring and log shipping for disaster recovery scenarios\n\nBackup and restore strategies, including recovery models (Simple, Bulk-Logged, Full) and point-in-time recovery\n\nStrong experience with PostgreSQL\n\nHands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases\n\nStrong experience managing databases on AWS RDS and Aurora\n\nProficiency in backup/restore, recovery models, and disaster recovery planning\n\nKnowledge of database security, encryption, authentication, and compliance standards\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nMicrosoft Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Data Engineer)\n\nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager)\n\nFamiliarity with ETL tools and data pipelines\n\nExperience with database monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Redgate, Solarwinds)\n\nKnowledge of high-availability architecture and replication\n\nFamiliarity of CI/CD, version control, and automated testing\n\nExperience in an Agile/DevOps environment\n\nEducation & Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)\n\nAWS or Microsoft Azure certifications are a
