When we work together and serve our clients at the highest level, both families win.\nAs a Restoration Project Manager, you will lead restoration projects (up to $50,000) from scope to closeout. You’ll manage both the construction and client experience-coordinating with adjusters, subcontractors, and homeowners while keeping jobs on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of quality.\nWe’re looking for a technical expert: organized, detail-driven, a strong communicator with high empathy. Someone who thrives in high-pressure situations, solves problems quickly, and sets the pace for teams.\nRequirements\nRESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProject Management\nLead all phases of restoration projects from scope to completion: estimating, contracts, schedules, budgets, and reporting.\nWork from scopes provided by Merit Estimators; adjust and refine as needed to meet project requirements, timelines, and budgets.\nOversee projects to ensure work is completed according to specifications, building codes, and schedules.\nIdentify resources, assign tasks, and coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.\nProvide detailed quality control through frequent site visits and inspections.\nAnticipate risks, delays, or conflicts and proactively resolve them.\nMaintain compliance with local/national building codes and safety standards.\nClient & Adjuster Communication\nManage day-to-day homeowner and insurance adjuster interactions.\nSet and manage expectations, deliver clear updates, and resolve issues promptly.\nDocument full scope of repairs during site visits and communicate findings.\nBuild and sustain strong relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, homeowners, and subcontractors.\nCommunicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully and professionally.\nFinancial Oversight\nPrepare job budgets, track expenses, and manage cash flow.\nEnsure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as set by company standards.\nHandle invoicing, collections, and financial closeout of jobs.\nSupport accounting team with cost tracking, invoicing, and mortgage company coordination.\nProcess & Performance\nDevelop, manage, and improve operational procedures and workflows for efficiency and accountability.\nOversee jobsite safety, organization, and cleanliness at all times.\nProvide owners, clients, and teams with updated two-week lookahead schedules.\nConduct weekly progress meetings and issue meeting minutes.\nTrack submittals, RFIs, and change orders accurately.\nEnsure subcontractors comply with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.\nClient Experience & Service\nDeliver a calm, empathetic presence to families navigating stressful losses.\nEnsure satisfaction at every stage; follow up after completion to maintain trust.\nAct as an advocate for the homeowner while balancing carrier requirements.\nSupport sales and marketing efforts through strong client relationships and reputation.\nWHY MERIT\nThis is not an easy job.
