When we work together and serve our clients at the highest level, both families win.\nWorking directly for the Branch Manager, the Large Loss Project Manager is primarily responsible for estimating and managing construction jobs valued at $50,000-$1 million+, managing deadlines, progress, and quality on multiple projects simultaneously.\nThe Large Loss Project Manager works from a scope prepared by a Merit Estimator to plan and execute the construction of residential and commercial structures, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs within timeline and budget. This person identifies and manages resources, provides detailed quality control through frequent site visits, and works closely with insureds and interested parties to ensure satisfaction and minimize Merit's exposure to risk.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nCore duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nProject Planning & Execution\nWorks from a scope as prepared by a Merit Estimator, plans and executes the construction of residential and commercial structures.\nRevises as appropriate to meet changing needs within timeline and budget.\nOversee projects as they are being carried out to make sure that the work is done according to the outlined specifications, and that they also conform to the work project timetable.\nMeets project deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.\nIdentifies and manages resources and assigns as necessary.\nQuality Control & Compliance\nProvides detailed quality control via frequent project site visits.\nReviews and inspects product on regular basis to ensure standards are being met.\nUnderstands, interprets and relays building plans.\nManages inspections process to ensure compliance with local/national codes and other building details.\nMinimizes Merit's exposure to risk on projects.\nFinancial & Contract Management\nManages budgets and tracks project expenses.\nEnsure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.\nResponsible for invoicing and collection of funds as per contract.\nPrepare construction contracts.\nEstimating & Documentation\nVisit new job property and document the full scope of repairs while onsite.\nInterface with clients and Insurance Adjusters throughout the estimating phase.\nBuilds/develops relationships with adjusters and insurance carriers.\nBusiness Operations & Process Improvement\nDevelop, manage, and improve business infrastructure and operations built around industry best practices to enhance efficiency, specifically around on-site production and performance.\nOversee procedures and processes for efficiency and thoughtfully implement recommendations to develop and improve them.\nClient Management\nWork closely with insured and interested parties.\nManages day to day client interaction.\nSet and manage client expectations.\nCommunicate effectively with client to identify needs and evaluate solutions.\nResolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion.\nCommunicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.\nCalls or meets customer to ensure satisfaction and collects payment for work completed.\nSeek alliances to improve performance.\nRequirements\nThree years Insurance Restoration experience preferred; commercial a plus.\nExperience in construction, painting and other related restoration services is a plus but not required.\nIn-depth understanding of the company and its position in the industry.\nKnowledgeable of and ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.\nGood subcontractor bid solicitation skills.\nWorking knowledge of various computer programs (experience with Xactimate is preferred but not required);
