The Document Control Technician role provides mid-level support for document management processes within Mesa’s PMO business unit. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with document control standards, and supporting project teams with timely distribution and tracking of engineering documentation. The Document Control Technician works under moderate supervision and is expected to independently manage routine document workflows and contribute to quality assurance efforts.\nResponsibilities\nReceiving, reviewing, and processing engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.\nMaintaining document control systems, databases, and logs with accurate metadata.\nEnsuring version control and proper archiving of superseded documents.\nPreparing transmittals, submittals, and document packages for internal and external distribution.\nCoordinating document reviews and tracking responses from project stakeholders.\nEnsuring compliance with client and internal document control standards.\nAssisting with audits and quality checks of document records.\nSupporting project teams with document retrieval, formatting, and troubleshooting.\nCompetencies\nSolid understanding of document control systems and versioning protocols.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management platforms.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nEffective communication and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks under deadlines. \nEducation and Experience\nMinimum:\n6 years experience working as a Document Control Technician OR a 4-year business degree or similar AND 2-3 years of field project document control experience. \nNotice to External Search Firms: Mesa Associates, Inc. and its subsidiaries do not accept unsolicited resumes and will not be obligated to pay a placement fee for unsolicited resumes.
