Supervise the health care professionals, front and back office support staff for assigned programs. Supports DHS as a clinical liaison for child welfare. Operates duties within the scope of practice designated by the Colorado Nurse Practice Act.\nThe following duty statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non-essential or marginal duties that may be required.\nResponsible for the management, coordination, evaluation and effectiveness of clinical programs, functions, and staff within the Public Health Clinic.\nConducts hiring, orientation, supervision, development, work schedules and performance evaluation for assigned staff.\nAssumes the responsibility for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, program guidelines and professional standards.\nEnsures program adherence for all public health clinic services, including family planning, sexually transmitted infection services, and immunizations.\nIn coordination with the Operations Division, informs the daily operations of assigned support functions, including:appointment scheduling,\ncheck-in and check-out,\ncollections,\nand other administrative duties.\n\nEnsures that operations are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner and in accordance with professional standards, budget constraints, internal policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.\nBuilds relationships with appropriate State program consultants at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Responds to CDPHE program requests and assures that the terms and scope of work detailed in program contracts are met.\nOversees the annual staff competencies and training process.\nEffectively uses health information retrieval systems, data-collection processes, and technology applications. \nLeads program planning, contract and budget management, marketing, and program evaluation.\nCoordinates the formulation of program protocol, policies and procedures for clinical operations.\nNON ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nParticipates in emergency planning and response activities.\nParticipates in agency-wide activities that may include strategic planning, quality improvement, and/or staff development, as appropriate.\nCompletes necessary training through FEMA, including Incident Command Structure (ICS) courses.\nWhen a local declaration of emergency or disaster is declared by County leadership, employees may be required to work as part of a National Incident Management System (NIMS).\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED\n\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Nursing or applicable area of study\nMinimum of three years progressive leadership experience\nPublic Health experience preferred\nOR\nAny combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.\nComputer and Technology\nAdvanced knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google applications (including Gmail and Drive).\nFamiliarity with Electronic Health Record use and management to support clinic services\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING ENVIRONMENT\n\nThis position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 10 pounds.\nWork is generally confined to a standard office environment.\nMay be exposed to communicable diseases, infections, blood, and bodily fluids.\nThe position requires availability during clinic operating hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\nIn compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the following items can be used as a determining factor in the starting and ongoing wage of an employee working in this position:\nA seniority system that rewards employees based on length of employment and relevant experience with prior agencies.\nA merit system that rewards or penalizes employees for exceptional or below standard job performance.\nEducation, training, or experience to the extent that they are reasonably related to or impact the efficiency of the work in question.\nThis position is eligible for the following Mesa County benefits;\nMedical\nDental\nVision\nRetirement\nPaid Sick and Vacation Leave\nLife insurance\nLong term disability\n_____________________________________________________________\nAgency\nMesa County\nAddress\n544 Rood Ave\nGrand Junction, CO 81501\nPhone\n970- 244 -
