In this role, you'll operate across the full stack, from backend systems to user-facing applications, driving key technical decisions and shaping the future of digital finance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and design to lead the development of secure, seamless, and scalable financial experiences. As one of our most senior technical leaders, you'll play a critical role in defining system architecture, mentoring engineers, and influencing product strategy. We're especially excited to meet candidates based in Bangalore, where you'll collaborate closely with our core team and help drive our engineering culture from the ground up.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDrive Architecture and Strategy: Own and drive technical architecture decisions, system designs, and roadmap implementation for multiple focus areas, balancing short- and long-term priorities against business needs.\nCross-Functional Leadership: Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and collaborate closely with executive leadership, product managers, and design partners to set technical strategy.\nCore Engineering: Develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.\nCloud and Infrastructure: Work closely with Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment, performance, and scalability.\nQuality and Reliability: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and prompt resolution of software defects; create high-quality, efficient, and reliable code following best practices.\nFintech and Crypto Focus: Build crypto-first, secure products to facilitate traditional financial activities (such as payments, settlements, and transfers).\nScale and Performance: Optimize the performance and scalability of backend systems handling large data volumes and real-time transaction flows.\nDevSecOps Culture: Champion best practices in software engineering, infrastructure as code, API security, and DevSecOps on a project-wide level.\n\nRequirements: \nExperience: 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to fintech or payments infrastructure.\nCore Technologies: Strong backend skills in one or more modern languages: C#, C++, Go, Java, or Python.\nCloud-Native Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency in cloud-native development (Azure), Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.\nSecurity-First Mindset: Strong foundational knowledge of common security concepts such as AuthN, AuthZ, SAML, API security, and data encryption at rest and data encryption in transit.\nWeb3 / Crypto Literacy: Solid understanding of core crypto concepts, including blockchains, RPCs, and self-custody wallets.\nArchitecture Expertise: Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and scalable microservices architecture.\nStartup Track Record: Prior experience leading engineering in a high-growth startup environment is a strong plus.\nProblem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and execute critical decisions under pressure.\nSkills\nAzure,
