The company is owned 90% by MET employees and 10% by Keppel Infrastructure, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation *.\nRole Overview:\nWe are looking to expand the Analytics team by hiring an experienced Long-Term Power Analyst to strengthen mid- and long-term European power-market modelling and strategic analytics. The role jointly owns the development and operation of the long-term modelling framework, from scenario design and model validation through production delivery and commercial interpretation.\nDepending on the candidate’s profile, the role may carry a stronger emphasis on strategic long-term model development (Y+3 to Y+15) or on the bridge between near-/mid-term desk analysis and long-term fundamentals.\n Design, configure and operate fundamental stack models and reduced modelling configurations across European markets, with a focus on mid/long-term horizons\nDevelop and implement structural, weather and targeted sensitivity scenarios\nCalibrate, benchmark and quality-assure model inputs, assumptions and outputs, and drive improvements in model robustness\nDeliver recurring core model outputs and improve automation, post-processing and reporting of model runs\nInterpret price, generation, capture, curtailment, storage, gas / CSS and network results and frame them in their commercial context\nDevelop long-term modelling architecture and methodology, including benchmarking of detailed and reduced configurations and alternative modelling approaches\nSupport desk-focused forward analysis and maintain consistency and calibration between near-/mid-term market views and the long-term modelling framework\nWork closely with Long-Term Researchers to implement researched system-development assumptions in consistent model scenarios\nContribute to asset valuation, strategic analytics and longer-term scenario work\nCooperate closely with traders, gas analysts, Long-Term Researchers, Data Engineering and other relevant stakeholders\n At least 5 years of relevant experience in power-market analysis, fundamental modelling or cross-commodity analysis, ideally within the energy trading / commodities sector\nPower-market fundamental stack-modelling experience, ideally including forward-horizon or scenario-based modelling\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical / econometric analysis and model validation\nStrong understanding of European power-market dynamics across supply, demand, storage, fuel economics and transmission constraints\nExcellent presentation and communication skills\nAbility to explain complex modelling results clearly and translate analysis into commercially relevant views\nCoding skills in Python and SQL are an
