Due to legal limitations, we are unable to sponsor any type of visa.\nTo apply for this position, please submit your resume in English as a PDF.\nJob Description\nThe mission for this role is to design solutions for sales and help engineering teams construct technical solutions.\nOUTCOMES\nDesign Efficient solutions:All client solutions should be designed to meet the clients needs within their budget and without over engineering. \nEnsure designs are cost optimized:Designs are the right mix of build, buy, open source, modules, etc that maximizes the clients’ ROI.\nAligns stakeholders:Produce deck slides, given presentations, and other activities to ensure stakeholders from the C-Suite to team developers are inspired and aligned on vision.\nActivities\nEstimation & Allocation: Create accurate estimates for every ticket to enable proper resource allocation.\nGuide engineers: Ensure engineering efforts focus on the right-size/right-cost solution to prevent over-engineering and developer spiraling.\nProject contribution: Participate in all phases of the SDLC including, sales, estimating, coding, program management, and other activities as needed.\nThought Leadership: Guide Metal Toad engineers and the community by publishing 8+ times per year. This can include blogs, articles, or hosting lunch and learns. \nAccurate estimates:Create project plans and tickets with accurate timelines and budgets.\nQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED\nAgree with our Corporate Values Statement.\nBelieves in the company's mission: to help people.\nBelieves in the principles of open source.\n8+ years of experience programming. \nFamiliar with event-oriented architecture of applications. \nAWS Certified or able to achieve an AWS certification within 90 days. \nFamiliar with ETL Processes and tools. \nExperience with various kinds of software documents including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, network diagrams, and UML diagrams. \nNICE TO HAVE\nExperience with both backend and frontend programming languages.\n2+ years as an architect designing solutions on AWS. \nAn AWS professional or Specialty certification. \nPlease note that Metal Toad will never ask for payment or financial information during the hiring process.
