As an intern on the software team, you will help develop applications that make use of our meta-optic camera systems. You will work with novel polarization imaging systems that require creative approaches to image processing and sensor integration. A successful candidate will be able to design, implement, and deploy software for testing and tuning these systems and for leveraging these systems in customer-facing applications.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign and implement software that make uses of our unique camera hardware\n\nDeploy, test, and optimize these apps on mobile devices\n\nCollaborate by writing documentation, engaging in code review, and commenting on design documents\n\nEngage with other teams (product, engineering, marketing) to design and deploy software that supports our goals as a company\n\nWhat you'll need\nCurrently has or in the process of obtaining a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field\n\nStrong programming skills in C or C++\n\nExperience with software engineering best practices (testing, version control, code review)\n\nBackground in building and deploying applications for embedded systems (through coursework or previous projects)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with image processing fundamentals\n\nExperience with ARM-based systems and performance optimization (e.g. NEON, DSP)\n\nPrior work with Android & related tools (e.g. Android Studio) and mobile development\n\nUnderstanding of camera sensor interfaces and hardware abstraction layers (HAL)\n\nProficiency in Computed Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g. Solidworks)\n\nThe Company\nMetalenz is driving innovation in optics with metasurface technology, providing image sensing solutions that deliver unprecedented insights to mass market machine vision, enabling advanced sensing and transformative applications to proliferate where compact size & cost-efficient integration is a must for widespread adoption.
