This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while supporting budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, audit activities, and regulatory compliance.\nThe Controller partners closely with operational and finance leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting, and insights that support informed business decisions and drive operational performance.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Reporting:\nAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data through detailed review and analysis.\nHelp in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.\nAssist in preparing Management and Board reports and analyses\nBudgeting and Forecasting:\nSupport the SVP Finance in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.\nMonitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.\nAssist in the preparation of financial projections and scenario analysis.\nInternal Controls:\nParticipate in the design and implementation of internal control procedures.\nConduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established controls.\nIdentify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing corrective actions.\nAudit Support:\nCoordinate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.\nPrepare audit schedules and assist in resolving audit inquiries.\nEnsure timely completion of audit deliverables and compliance with audit requirements.\nRegulatory Compliance:\nStay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.\nAssist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.\nHelp in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.\nTeam Collaboration:\nWork collaboratively with members of the finance team and other departments.\nProvide support and guidance to junior staff members as needed.\nFoster a positive and inclusive work environment conducive to professional growth.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls.\nExperience managing month-end and year-end close processes.\nExperience preparing and reviewing financial statements.\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.\nExperience coordinating external audits and regulatory compliance activities.\nExperience developing, implementing, or monitoring internal controls.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExperience working with ERP systems and financial reporting software.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with operational and financial leadership.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred\nCPA designation.\nPublic accounting, audit, or internal audit experience.\nExperience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of accounting staff.\nExperience with multi-location, multi-entity, or consolidated financial reporting.\nExperience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, steel, or related industries.\nExperience preparing management-level financial reports and presentations.\nExperience with Oracle, Invex, or similar ERP systems.\nExperience with Power BI or other business intelligence
