Over the years we have fostered a culture in which we are united by shared values-passion, solidarity, generosity, curiosity, and boldness-and these come alive in the work we do and how we do it.\nTogether, we know our people are our difference-for our clients and our colleagues.\nAre you ready to:\nWork alongside a dedicated and diverse set of people to offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients?\nLearn and grow by taking advantage of every opportunity available to you?\nJoin a company which prides itself on its shared values and inclusive culture?\nBe the difference and make it happen?\nRole Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to provide architecture and engineering leadership supporting DHS enterprise applications and cloud modernization initiatives.\nThis individual will design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, evaluate emerging technologies, develop technical roadmaps, and guide application teams from architecture through implementation and production support.\nThe role specifically requires cloud architecture capabilities spanning Azure and AWS, hybrid-cloud application architecture, application integration, cybersecurity, technical roadmaps, and reusable enterprise services.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nArchitect enterprise application and service solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, hybrid-cloud, and DHS-hosted environments.\nDevelop target and reference architectures for cloud-based applications and enterprise services.\nLead technical discovery and translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.\nDevelop current-state and future-state architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, and solution designs.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend technologies and architectural approaches appropriate to customer requirements.\nDefine architectures addressing:Identity and access management\nSecrets management\nVulnerability scanning\nLogging and monitoring\nContainer orchestration\nSource-code management\nConfiguration management\nAutomation/orchestration\nData protection and segregation\nNetwork and application security\n\nArchitect integrations between enterprise applications, APIs, databases, cloud services, identity platforms, and other DHS enterprise services.\nSupport application and data migration into cloud environments.\nConduct architecture and design reviews and assess solutions for reliability, maintainability, performance, security, and compliance.\nSupport cloud capacity and performance planning.\nPartner with application developers, DevOps engineers, security engineers, business analysts, project leadership, and government stakeholders.\nPresent architecture recommendations and technical solutions to senior government stakeholders.\nWhat We Need From You (Required)\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.\nMicrosoft Certified Professional Certification.\n7+ years of combined experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture.\nHands-on architecture experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.\nExperience designing cloud or hybrid-cloud enterprise solutions.\nStrong understanding of application architecture, networking, identity, databases, security, and systems integration.\nExperience taking solutions from discovery and architecture through implementation and deployment.\nAbility to communicate complex architecture concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.\nBonus Points (Desired)\nAWS architecture certification.\nCurrent Microsoft Azure architecture certification.\nExperience with Azure, AWS, Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Office 365, SharePoint Online, ServiceNow, GitLab, and Terraform.\nDevSecOps and CI/CD architecture experience.\nContainerization and orchestration experience.\nFederal cloud security/compliance experience.\nExperience with NIST 800-53, DHS 4300A, FISMA, FedRAMP, and Section 508 environments.\nWork Location\nRemote in the U.S.\nEducation\nBA/BS in a technical or related discipline\nClearance Requirements\nMust be able to obtain a U.S. DHS Public Trust suitability determination.\nU.S. Citizenship Required.\nBenefits & Perks\nAt MetaPhase, we care about your well-being and success.
